William Desrosiers specializes in strategic planning, innovative and collaborative solutions development, and change management. He supports Toffler Associates clients working to transform their traditional business model of compliance-based protection into a market-driven, collaborative, dispersed approach to risk management. He also guides enterprise organizations to understand disruptive technologies impacting their market, focusing on what will happen as autonomous vehicles and smart cities convene. William came to Toffler Associates from the Department of the Navy, where he supported acquisition logistics and C4I budget-related initiatives, working across Nimitz-class Aircraft Carriers and Ohio-class Submarine programs. He also has worked at private firms focusing on international logistics. He holds a B.A. in Business Management from Kansas State University and an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship from George Mason University.

With increasing volume and velocity, smart city technologies and autonomous vehicles are reshaping the structure of our cities and how we live and work in them. Smart city technologies include the Internet of Things, hyper-connected citizens, and data-driven public solutions. Beyond self-driving cars, autonomous vehicles encompass commercial and public applications, aerial, subsurface, and intermodal, and alternative energy components. These innovations are indeed disruptive individually, but in aggregate promise incredible opportunity for our metro areas. They also have the potential to create major hurdles for those tasked with putting these new resources to work.
